15:00 York: Sky Bet Hambleton Handicap (7 furlongs 192 yards)
Ryan Moore is expected to guide market leader Assessment home at a short price, but better value might be found lower down the betting.
Perhaps none more so than last year’s winner, Cruyff Turn, who lines up here with a slightly lower mark than 12 months ago and should be better for his season debut on heavy ground at Thirsk 12 days ago.
He finished behind the re-opposing Northern Express there, but undoubtedly needed that pipe-opener and should be primed for a better run on improving ground under David Allan here.

Further down this 18-strong line-up, each-way value abounds, especially with bookmakers paying out on six or seven places.
Astro King has received plenty of support among Tipstrr’s pundits, who are perhaps prepared to forgive a poor performance on his final outing of last term.
He has since left Sir Michael Stoute to join the Kubler yard, and while that change might suggest he will need this reappearance after 215 days off, if they have him prepared, this might just be the ideal time to grab him at a big price.
He should relish the improving ground and in the saddle Richard Kingscote is well equipped to get the best out of this six-year-old who has proven to be a consistent performer in top-end handicaps.
