Provincial and Territorial Tennis Associations Updates: April 2024 

To celebrate the incredible work being done across the country to grow the sport, each month, Tennis Canada will highlight a news story from every Provincial and Territorial Tennis Association via its brand new PTTA HUB.

Tennis Alberta 

U12 Girls Compete in National Final on Home Court 

Alberta’s Sophie Rachel Murray and Zimo Xiang Bai made their province proud, reaching the finals of the U12 Fischer Indoor Nationals on their home court. 

Tennis BC 

Getting the Conversation Going is the First Step of the Journey Towards Mental Health 

Mental health is a hot topic in the tennis world, and starting the conversation early means better outcomes. One athlete shares his journey and turns the tables on mental health.

Results: Tennis Manitoba Hub Junior Series (U16-U18) 

The Tennis Manitoba Hub Junior Series (U16-U18) took place April 19-21 at Taylor Tennis Centre. Take a look at who came out on top.

Tennis New Brunswick 

Champions Crowned at 2024 Rogers First Set – Rising Stars 

Tennis New Brunswick’s 2023-2024 Rogers First Set: Rising Stars Circuit (formerly ROG), which included a total of 30 juniors, came to a close last weekend at the Abony Family Tennis Centre, leaving us with division champions for the Red, Orange, and Green ball categories. 

Tennis Nova Scotia 

Tennis NS Launches ‘Try It’ Wheelchair Tennis Program 

Tennis Nova Scotia has launched a new pilot Wheelchair tennis program with a focus on educating coaches to deliver Wheelchair tennis programming across various clubs in Nova Scotia. 

Ontario Tennis Association 

National Bank Roadshow Kicks Off Outdoor Season 

The National Bank roadshow will visit over 70 clubs and community festivals across Ontario this season, bringing fun and excitement to the tennis community. 

Tennis Quebec 

Tennis Québec unveils its new logo and modernizes its graphic identity to mark a new era 

Tennis Québec has announced a major change to its visual identity with the unveiling of its new logo. The change is part of the organization’s strategic plan to modernize its image and strengthen its position in the Quebec sports community. 

Tennis Saskatchewan 

Isabella Ruyu Yan Wins U14 Nationals Doubles Title 

Saskatchewan’s Isabella Ruyu Yan and Eve Thibault of Quebec take home the title for U14 Girls Doubles at the Fischer Indoor Nationals, held at the UBC Tennis Center in Vancouver.
