Ontario Will See Winter Weather Again This Week & Here’s What You Can Expect In Toronto
Parts of Ontario will see a shift back to winter weather this week after experiencing spring-like temperatures on Friday and into the weekend.
According to the Weather Network, Toronto will not only see colder temperatures over the next few days but there’s snow in the forecast as well.
Toronto broke an 86-year-old weather record on February 9 after temperatures soared into the mid-teens, breaking the previous record of 10.6 C.
Several parts of Ontario also saw records broken, according to Environment Canada. Weather records were also broken in Kingston, Oshawa and Cobourg.
Toronto has seen a warmer-than-average winter this year. The Toronto Pearson International Airport tweeted on Friday that it has only seen “40.4 cm of snow this winter – about 34 cm less compared to the same time period last year.”
However, TWN says winter isn’t finished with Ontario just yet and a cooler pattern will sweep across the province this week.
Toronto will see a high of 4 C on Monday before dropping to 0 degrees on Wednesday and -3 C by Saturday.
The city will also see wet flurries on Tuesday and snow is expected on both Thursday and Saturday, according to TWN’s forecast.
While Ontario is seeing a major cooldown this week, Wiarton Willie did say the province will be seeing an early spring so let’s hope the warm-up comes soon!
