Venue details and weather forecast

It has been one of the lowest-scoring venues in this year’s T20 World Cup, and expect nothing different between these two sides on June 11 (Tuesday). In the very last match, Pakistan failed to chase down a target of 120 against India.

The weather is clear, with no forecast of any rain. The humidity is expected to be around 60%.

Average first innings score: 106/9 (five T20Is have been played thus far)

Bat first / Bat second split: The team batting second have won three out of the last five games.

Pace and spin split: Average 15 vs 20.5, Economy 5.6 vs 5.8, Percentage of wickets 84.6% vs 15.4%

Players to watch out for

Mohammad Rizwan – The wicketkeeper-batter is a safe bet when it comes to fantasy cricket. The surface in New York hasn’t been great for batting, so it’s better to go with an anchor who can give you at least 30-40 runs. In 15 T20Is this year, Rizwan has scored 446 runs at an average of 44.6 and a strike rate of 126.

Mohammad Amir – The left-arm seamer has been in good form in the ongoing World Cup. In two games, Amir has claimed three wickets at an average of 16 and an economy of 6. Against India, the 32-year-old took 2/23 off his four overs.

Nicholas Kirton – The left-hander is one of the five batters to score 100 or more runs in this World Cup. Kirton has scores of 51 and 49 and has been Canada’s best batter in this competition. That knock of 49 off 35 deliveries came against Ireland on the New York surface where most of the batters have struggled.

Key battles

Babar Azam vs Canada seamers

Both of Pakistan captain’s dismissals in this World Cup have come against pace. The right-handed batter got out to Jasdeep Singh in the game against the USA and was then undone by Jasprit Bumrah in the match against India. Someone like Dilon Heyliger or Jeremy Gordon could trouble him.
