Is it weird if your dad smacks your girlfriend’s bottom on live television?
It is to Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker, who took to social media to react to a viral video featuring the father of Lukas Van Ness smacking his son’s girlfriend on the butt after her boyfriend was selected 13th overall by the Green Bay Packers in the NFL Draft last Thursday.
In the video, Van Ness’ father is standing and celebrating after his son got the call from the Packers. His girlfriend, Frankie Kmet, then gets up to hug her beau’s father and, as she sat down, the elder Van Ness patted her buttocks.
The butt tapping was broadcast on national television. A clip of the interaction went viral on social media.
Baker took to Twitter to overreact to the clip.
“Ok ok ok … look, if my dad touched my lady ass on draft night or anytime, I’m checkin him!!!” Baker tweeted.
“ESPECIALLY if he still with my mom. Maybe that’s just me though, I didn’t grow up wit my pops so maybe that it … aye also! There’s nothing wrong with being a day 2 guy!! Just work!!”
The bum touching wasn’t the only video involving Van Ness circulating on social media since the NFL Draft.
According to the New York Post, other video showed Van Ness getting infinite hugs from his pals in celebration that almost knocked him over. Another clip showed a pal clinging on to Van Ness as he got the call from the Packers.
